i think we're really getting into the swing of things now! the up hills seem, i was going to say fine, but they feel good! the flats are great. but the down hills, wow, they hurt. a lot. who'd've thunk it?!
well, actually i would if i'd thought about it, but i didn't i forgot.
anyways, today we went over the biggest hill on the path at 318m:
as you may be able to tell it was still quite windy, but not as bad as yesterday's 30mph gusting 45! (i got dad to check the met office!) then we passed combe martin, illfracombe and lee bay all fairly uneventfully. before pitching up less than half a kilometre from out planned stop at bull point, in a nice little grassy combe, with a beach and a stream and sun and everything!
(the sun had gone down and we'd started to get chilly by the time of the photo taking)
favourite view of the day:
giant cow parsley!!! (apologies for the bad photo skills, it was raining at that point)
worst view: honestly can't think of one.
the legs have felt good. the back has felt worse. the blister got no bigger. all in all a good day and i'm looking forward to tomorrow. which seems like a good point to sign of because my 'bed' is beckoning...
jin x
about 15 miles (we think, the signs tell lots of lies!), 43 miles total (ish) and absolutely no idea how many steps, probably around 30,000 again, give or take
I've just googled how much your tents cost!! You do know that you can get one for about £8 at ASDA?? Someone saw you coming!
