today started out well. late. but well. the night in the hostel was great. i even got to watch free willy on what i believe they call a television.
the down side of a nice comfy evening is the lack of will to get going in the morning. i wasn't too worried though, having fitted in an extra few miles to get me to zennor, it looked to be a short day ahead.
i started out with a spring in my step for some reason. i perked up even more when i talked to my sister and she said her and dad would pop out to see me this evening, before they start walking with me tomorrow. yay!
i managed to average 2 miles an hour to pendeen watch, including breaks, which i was pretty chuffed with.
then the drizzle came. luckily at the same time as the drizzle there was a sign saying 3.5 miles to cape cornwall, which is just before where i had to get to. that didn't seem too far.
it turns out 3.5 miles in drizzle is pretty far. it's also pretty miserable.
there were actually some pretty amazing views today. though with the drizzle they were hard to capture:
this little guy came out alright though:
for an iphone camera sans macro function anyways.
hopefully i'll be cheerful tomorrow, having had company again for the first time in what feels like ages. but the plan says it's 18.1 miles tomorrow. and so far i don't think i've had a day that's come in at less miles than the plan. it doesn't bode well.
jin x
around 11.5 miles today, nice an short for a change. which puts it up to 249.5 in total. it's starting to scare me how far i've walked!
ps. in my message of thanks last night i forgot to say thanks for all the lovely (and the less lovely, more teasing) comments. it really helps to know that you guys are out there actually caring a little what i'm up to. keep them coming...
and it's drizzly today now as i write this, hope today hasn't been too bad for you x
