for a little while i thought we might get away with packing the tents away dry today. with such a windy night they it was looking good. unfortunately it started raining at about six and carried on til about nine, when we'd been walking for an hour. ah well. one can live in hope.
it's been a fairly foggy/drizzly day today.
and at times the wind was literally blowing me sidewards. bizarrely i really enjoy weather like that. i kinda want to grumble. but then i find this massive grin on my face.
it was a short day. we got to burton farmhouse, the b&b i used to work at, at around half one. after only nine miles.
we stopped for lunch then headed out for the circular walk from the farm which takes in two miles of coast path. it also takes in over two miles of other footpaths, but means we can start a little further round in the morning.the best bit was we got to go sans bags. good times.
