...if all continues to go well, i should be arriving into poole harbour. in a couple more days i'll be halfway in terms of time. and hopefully in distance too.
we started early this morning. 7.20 on the trail. pretty much straight into civilisation, but too early for the shop in mousehole we carried on to newlyn before breakfasting on smoked salmon and cream cheese sandwiches, marinated artichokes and orange juice. i love my family!
my sister unfortunately had to call time in penzance. another victim to blisters. but my dad, now unencumbered by a bag, carried on with me til late lunch time. and he walks quickly. very quickly.
dad left me at praa sands to get back to my sister. i stayed for lunch and a nap. tiredness is starting to catch up with me a bit i think. i managed to keep up a good pace after the nap though, carrying on just under a mile further than planned, managing to find a nice cafe with a flat garden to let me camp. yet again, lovely people.
today both started and ended with amazing views. of where i was headed:
and where i'd been:
the sun is, i reckon, pretty much directly over where today began, just south west of mousehole in that pic. one of the rare times that kind of view has been possible. i can't decide whether it's good or not, being able to see the distances involved.

the plan said 16.9 for today. but we camped a little short last night, and i went a bit further today. overall about 2-2.5 miles extra. that makes 19-19.5 today. i can almost believe that. there was quite a lot on the flat, and it was a long day. if correct that should make around 285 miles total now. that means i should be on track for half way in two days. wow.
i wish i'd been able to join you for a little walk really.. ah well, next time eh? lol. more stunning pics, really love that sunset with the sunspots, psychedelic man! x
